PROFILE OF BUSINESS

Nigeria

EPCL, in partnership with the Yinka Folawiyo Group, has developed and constructed a 66,000 metric ton refined fuel product storage and distribution facility with its own privately owned deepwater jetty in Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria – it is the only private fuel facility with access to such a deep water jetty in Lagos, it has an anticipated through-put capacity of 150,000 MT per month.

The JV group company called Folawiyo Energy Ltd has built a facility, with all designs completed in accordance with the engineering standard API-650, that is capable of handling multiple fuel products. Currently we are able to store both PMS (premium motor spirits) and AGO (automotive gas oil) on behalf of third parties.

Since the successful commissioning of the plant in August 2006 we have received 63 vessels with a total of 1,323,273 metric tons of product discharged. We have successfully proven the discharge capacity and established the facility as one of the few in Nigeria that can receive large vessels in excess of 30,000 metric tons directly into port storage without the use of intermediate trans-shipment vessels thereby avoiding the lengthy wait for berths that vessels are currently experiencing in Lagos.

The facility, employs over 120 people, and operates 24-hours a day, 6-days a week. As at the end of February 2008 39,864 trucks have successfully uplifted over 49,936 metric tons of AGO and 1,245,194 metric tons of PMS on behalf of customers.
