ASSET OVERVIEW

Diamonds - CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC(“CAR”)

After lifting the self-declared force-majeure and having its rights to various diamond concessions re-confirmed by the relevant authorities, the Company re-commenced limited prospecting activities in the CAR in June 2004.

The total revised concession area of 4,137.8 km 2 confirmed by Ministerial decree in June 2004 comprises the Bangana (743.6 km²), Bria (748.7 km²), Kotto (962.5 km²) and Ouadda (1683.0 km²) concessions.

The renewal of the permits was granted in March 2006.

High resolution satellite imagery and radarsat data has been obtained and the company is in the process of target selection and screening.

Prior exports under licence exceeded 500 000 carats followed by physical sampling of selected targets.

Other Minerals

The Company continues to pursue a strategy of growth for its mining business and the strategic base established through its oil and gas and commodity trading activities continually provides additional opportunities in this regard. A number of ongoing investigations into potential projects in diamonds as well as gold and other minerals throughout Africa remain in progress.
